Thanks, That was Lupe in redwood City. he's owns a shop in redwood city. he's cool and reasonably priced. i've heard nothing but great things about spec-fabrication, so i'll be going to him whenever i get enough spare $$ for parts.

i've welded in a few sets, what do you want to know
I can make one recommendation, weldin the lower torque box plate before putting sfc's in
do this in the other order provides less strength and is a big pain in the ass

I don't know if you are up in the Santa Rosa area very much, I had my full lenghts and torque box reinforcement plates put on by Johnny franklin driveline and hitch. They did it in three hours charged me a $100 dollars and they did a awesome job.

I heard MM came out with a newer design that's supposed to be even better than their previous full-length cons.
I'm going to put them on the Cobra soon.

I just received my XL's last Friday & need to get em welded up. Supposedly stiffer than the previous design. They made em a little taller, but used thinner metal so they wouldn't be heavier. 65 inches long, 1.5" x 2" x .083" wall thickness. I think the previous was 1.20" wall thickness.

To do what
Does that include the price of the sub cons.
Even still i wouldn't think it would cost upwards of $300

Damn! Does that include welding up the upper/lower TQ boxes too?
Yeah, I think $125 is the going rate for us members.

Transmissions. Other than removing/replacing them...I don't tear into them. I'd rather file-fit piston rings for a week than tear a T5 trans down.

If they used 90wt gear lube, you would love them like you love doing gear swaps.
