Looking to pay LESS than invoice. Any connections? I have a 745 mid so financing isn't a problem.
Me and Forced331 went to the local dealership here and were offered one for invoice right off the bat tonight. Anything better out there? Looking for a 5 speed in dark blue.
Mildly interested in vert, but will likely get a hard top.
Figured I'd ask

Get the hardtop! 5k cheaper and you won't need a rollbar when you dip in the 12's!

Call Hayward Ford and ask for their fleet sales dept. I got my Cobra from their so they should be able to hook you up.

you could buy a used beater every month, and have $1k a month to put in the bank to buy a house with.
man, I could never see pissing away that much money a month just to drive a brand new car.

This really comes down to the type of individual and I agree with you 100%. There is no way I will finance any toys before I am financing a house. I do know a handful of people who burn 50% of their monthly paycheck on their new car. To me that is financial suicide.

maybe it's a 3 year loan. thats better than paying for 6 or 7 years

and maybe his $723 payment is only a small portion of what he takes home. it's all relative. now if one were taking home $2k a month and making that hefty payment we know where our priorities are.

Wow, I'm sorry that you shot yourself in the foot like that. I think it is very unwise to throw all of your hard earned money every month into an asset that rapidly goes down the toilet in value, but that is your choice.

Is he asking for you to feel sorry for him? Do you even know anything about him or his life situation? "YOU" think it's unwise, YET YOU DON'T KNOW A THING ABOUT HIS SITUATION

I would guess that the $723 payment represents a large portion of his or hers income because the individual already rolled over $3000 of negative equity into that new GT.

Well, I have them willing to give me one for $44 "under" invoice but I want a dark blue 5 speed and they only have that in a vert. I may hold out for a coupe, which they do not have available currently, we'll see.

I'm from Chicago and I can't see buying a house for a million dollar's. I can buy a decent house for a 100k-200k.(in chicago) So knowing that I can purchase a house in Chicago and rent it out and live here. Or do the same in Florida. I'm waiting til our current president is out of office before I make a long term commitment. Prices here are stupid. Soon the bubble will burst. IMO.
i.e. Enron, stock market, senseless war.something will change once bush is gone. hopefully for the better!
yeah I spend alot on my car. kinda foolish.(demented) But you only live once! I spoil myself. I love cars. My car payment is almost one weeks pay. car insurance is garbage. Cuz I am an old man. If times get tough I can do a side job and make hella cash. I paint cars.

They can't get the car for you from another dealer?

No one should be paying any premium for this car. It ain't no limited production vehicle. A year ago, maybe, if desperate enough, but really foolish, imo. They invoice well under $25000.
I hope that guy with the $723 payment has a 3 year contract.

Sorry, not interested in a V6. Don't tell me a premium GT is "well under 25k" because you have clearly not seen an invoice.

None of the dealers they work with have a dark blue GT coupe in a 5 speed. 12 freaking autos..........

v6 was 23-25k
v8 was 27-28k depending on rims and options.

Yep those are pretty good people, they're the ones that bought my 03 Mach 1 and sold it within a couple of months. I would say that most car dealerships were shaddy but Hayward for is pretty decent. Good luck on the search Don
I figure that my next car is going to be a BMWm3 2001 and up. Yes I do plan on paying it off. I won't get one for 2-3 years though.

I'm not referring to the V6, I'm referring to the premium GT.
MSRP is $26,320. Invoice is $24,188. No reason to pay much more at all. If the dealer is getting more, he's only doing it because he can, and people accept the deal.

That's missing many "options." Premium does not mean it has EVERY option.

Hey Don, i didn't want to give you this info cuase i wanted you to get a gt500, but.. since someone already mentioned it.
Hayward ford is the place to call, if you are willing to make the drive, i'll even take you out for a burger or something if you make it to my side of the woods (after i drive your new stang, ofcrouse )
If you call hayward ford, talk to Danny Goal. he's the main guy there. i dealt with him when i placed an order for a 2003 cobra back in early 2002(when everone was paying over 5k in mark ups ) i placed my order for msrp there but ended up gettng it for much cheaper from a different dealership.
good luck,
Jersey
