what does "better" mean to you?
"Better" in the economical sense? if so decals.
"Better" as in finish and overall harmony of the car? stripes.

Decals
+ cheap/removeable
- they are deals can't expect much of them.

painted stripes
+ much nicer finish. you can wax them etc.
- they are expensive if done properly, can't be removed if you change your mind in the future.

None stock decals look extremely cheap and classless.

Stripes, well, very few cars look correct with stripes. Late model Mustangs do not fall into that category.

Paint it all one color. Make it clean.

I started out with vinyl stripes applied professionally, but they did not come out good. So they painted the stripes on and they are unbelieveably awesome. The price was very low and the work was done in San Jose by a shop that only does stripes - Finishline Paint Body and Graphics. I highly recommend you go over and talk to them before making your decision.

Stripes are the best way to make your Mustang unique and attention getting. Before I had stripes, I got a lot of positive comments, but now that I have stripes, I get several offers a week from strangers to buy my car at first sight. I take that as a compliment.

This isn't a very good pic but it's the best one I have on here right now. Come see it at the show!

Stripes definately suck on late model mustangs
they're ugly period, IMHO opinion they make a car look like ass. It looks nice that you color coordinated everything, but it is what it is. Tan stripes, tan top, and tan interior are 3 things I will never have in any of my stangs . Stangs especially later model stangs look better all one color. The only striped car I've ever like was on an old school stang and even then I would still take a one solid color paint job over it.

Why cant you have painted stripes removed?? I have removed them myself. Sure its a lot cheaper/easier to remove decals and vinyls, but the look tacky. If your going to do it, do it right and have them painted on.

Stripes have grown on me lately I like them! I dont like saleen wings on Fox's anymore, hoods, or them to be lowered. I guess Im getting old fashioned but I just dont see why an adult would lower a car or put a raised hood on it unless it needs it. Well lower a car more than an inch that is. I say go with some stripes just make sure they do the thickness correct. I think the vert pictured above has too skiny of stripes.

That actually looks pretty clean, I think its your wheels that kill it. Color combo is unique. Then again I am from the old school where I believe your top should match your guts then match the stripes. So in general with everything else I dont like it. But, thats not the argument. The stripes look good on yours and done right too. Now dip the interior and then you would have a real winner.

Did someone post a pic of a GT500,no I didnt see one.They look great on that era car.Hence the reason I used the term DATED.Now on a Foxbody IMO its looks like shit.BTW that Yellow Cobra that was posted a few posts up looks great.I guess its just the body stlye that makes the stripes or not.But not on a foxbody.............But thats just my opinion
