It's easy to say that everybody is on the bandwagon of BRAZILS team every world cup. But I honestly think they will win it this year. That game yesterday was a fun game to watch. I think they're coming together as a team and will finish 1st. BRAZIL is my choice!

Need to check the possibilities, cos England will be playing Portugal at the weekend.

no offense to anyone from england but their team seems pretty weak. if they beat protugal is because of all the redcards and because c. ronaldo is injured.

No offence taken, England has not had very strong opposition, we tend to lift our game when we have good teams to play against.

I do think we'll get to play Brazil or France, but that will probably be where we stop !

What's up with Ronaldinho? seriously.. i expected this guy, as well as the whole world, to be the star of this cup and so far he hasn't done much of anything? has he even scored a goal? i mean.. i know scoring is not everything, but still.

they played really well, they still are not a great team though. but it was a good deserved victory. i had several friends over non of which were italian but we were cheering them on.. we just dislike germany [Razz]

Zidane should have have hit that other guy in the freaking nose instead. he must have really been talking some crap to make zidane react that way. he's usually prety calm and laid back.
Did he get a medal or was he not allowed back in the field because of the redcard?

italy only won because zidane, henry, and viera were all out, those are 3 top pk takers. and for the first goal zidane shot like that because he can if you dont remember 2 years ago before ronaldinho zidane was fifa player of the year he can do what he wants. and that guy got head butted because he was talking shit and grabbing zidanes injured shoulder.

i will stick to my statement. ITALY played well, but they are not the "great team" you are trying to make them appear to be.

Beating France by penalty kicks should not be seem as a great accomplishment. It's true, a victory is a victory,and as such it brings joy and immense sense of invisibility to its fans, but are they "the best"? no. were they victorious?, yes.


If anything, Italy showed a much greater level of offensive and defensive dexterity against Germany and had two magnificent and unforgettable goals.
