Well yesterday sucked as a whole, but when ur 40 miles from home at 10:30 at night and you car takes a shit.....yea ur not happy.

So i guess 166K miles and supposedly no rebuilds it was only a matter of time. Though i had kinda hoped to kill it on the track, not just cruisin up Treat blvd in concord [Embarrassed] Car started runnin rough, felt like it started to miss fire, hard jolts and jerks a few times then __________ flat lined. Lucky it cut out just as i was about to pass a 76 station so i pulled in.

I think its something ignition related cuz the motor will spin, but wont fire to turn over. Checked my wires, made sure theyre all connected etc etc....Even if it only electrical it gives me reason to start the 347 build, but still a major sore with me right now [Mad]

That sucks big time. My dads 5.0 has almost 300k miles and still has the original water pump. Its gotta be on its way out soon I bet..

Check the fuel pressure first, then the ignition module.

Doesn't sound like anything is wrong with the motor just an electrical problem you need to figure out thats all.

come to think of it my 94 used to cut out when driving and wouldnt start... took JohnB's advice and looked at the PIP sensor in the dist. Swapped in a new Dist and it ran great after that@!

Yeah that kinda sounds like a dead fuel pump.
