Found this Cobra on craigslist.org and was thinking about picking it up.

Let me know your guys opinion, I would be able to put 2k down on it.

Is it worth it?

id be scared of getting a high mileage modular just for the simple fact that they're not cheap to replace compared to a fox...thats not to say a modular can run perfectly fine with high mileage.
take your time and just find one that you really want rather than rushing.

oh I know I'm not rushing or anything, I'm trying to save so I can purchase one in full, but if I found a good deal then I may jump on it. [patriot]

it's not a cobra look at the headlights, cobra's came with clear headlights.

Then you can grow a mullet for free. haha

To me it doesn't look like a Cobra the hood isn't a Cobra hood and someone pointed out the headlights aren't clear but i don't know if 96s came with clea headlights i know 98s did. I wonder if its a 95 Cobra.

Dont 96 cobras have a plaque on the engine that would give it away?

All Cobra's from 1994 onwards came with clear headlamps.

The hood was revised in 1996, but this car does not appear to have it.

It also does not appear to have 1996 Cobra wheels, they look like 94/5 Cobra wheels.

I would check the VIN, as Cobra's are easily identified by one of the letters indicating it's a Cobra.

It should have a Engine decal indicating it has a Cobra engine, but the 96/97 vehicles decals did have a habit of coming off, I believe in late 97 they made them more durable.

give the guy a break guys..hes having stang withdrawals. i think he's taking his trip to hawaii and wants to buy something affordable with the funds remaining. if it were me, id save the cash for a few months and jump on something you really want/pay cash for it so u can avoid the payments.
94/95 stangs are going for real cheap nowadays compared to foxes, so maybe u should look into those.
