I decided to take some pics today since I got my car back this morning. I recently installed H&R SS springs w/ new isolators, MM CC plates STB, MM FLSFC's, MM 4pt K-member brace, new quad shocks, and Bilsteins shocks and struts. All I can is it feels like a completely different car , it handles like its on rails. My car doesn't shake anymore when going over bumps or uneven pavement . It rides nice and smooth and I can take turns at higher sppeds. The ride is an absolute NIGHT and DAY difference . Next to come is some LCA's and a panhard bar. Now off to Custom Alignment tomorrow to get aligned.

AFTER: I think it's a 1.25-1.5" drop all around.
Let me know what you guys think.

Yup, its coyote point. . No rubbing as of yet, tried it at full lock, over dips, through corners, etc. I want to take some better shots. I'm going to get it washed up tomorrow and put my cv boot on it and hopefully get my halo headrest installed (if I can figure out how to install them ) Maybe I
'll be able to catch some nice sunset pics tomorrow. Heres some more pics from today.
Thanks guys for all the compliments.

Nice set up man, it looks great. In my opinion, H&R springs with Bilstein shocks/struts is hands down the best set up for Mustangs. That's what I have on my '94 GT and I love it. You definately made a wise decision with that set up.

Haha, ya, thats true.
Didn't I tell you the H&R/Bilstein combo was badass?
Only reason I don;t have it is because I simply couldn't get myself to spend $700+ on springs/shocks/struts.
I ended up doing mine for about $250 with Bullitt Hardware.

What about the 100's or 1000's of people that see your plate when your just driving the car? Think any of them are theives? What would stop them from writing it down? Don't fret man,...you have a garage then your golden.
ps...I'm not one for Verts. But I do like yours! Looks very clean and I love the black on black

That looks awesome!
For the headrests, to take the old ones out if you don't know. Get a long peice of thin metal, to go down the middle where it connects to the seat. Then pull up, it's pretty easy. You'll see, if that makes enough sense.

Yea, I gotta tell you I didn't think it would make that much of a difference in comfort level and ride especially with my past experiences with lowering springs (eibach, bbk, etc.). However this is the best setup I have ever ran and I will be sure to run this combo on all future stangs. You should see how this thing comes out of corners now . I actually like these mods better than any others I've ever done. I'm going to finish the rear w/ some more MM parts for improved traction. As of now traction is not really an issue w/ a fairly stock motor, but I figure after finishing the suspension and rear disc upgrade I'll have a real good foundation for more hp.

Gus, I have not failed you with my advice yet and here is one more piece of it.
Do not add rear suspension parts thinking it will dramatically improve your traction with street tires. In my experience stiff control arms with stiff bushings often times makes street traction worse, because they are not compliant and shock the tires compared to the stock worn out stuff.
If you want street traction, get MT drag radials.
If you want a solid, stable, and predictable rearend that is smooth as glass during burnouts, get control arms, weld your torque boxes, and make sure you your quad shocks are up to the task. Don't necessarily believe the internet myths that you do not need quads when you get aftermarket arms. Sometimes you don't, sometimes you do.
I needed them badly with my BBK uppers/lowers with my 87GT.
If you are getting control arms, I recommend
lowers: MM or Pro3i
uppers: FMS or steeda
My burnouts are smooth as glass. I could not be more pleased.

Getting sideways as is predictable as a John Candy heart attack

Wow, cool video. , Yea I have new quad shocks, everything in the rear is brand new with the exception of the rear and upper control arms. I will probably get my torque boxes welded for piece of mind once I do the control arms. Thanks for the advice Luke.
On a side note the 3.73's I have are great for low-end acceleration , but I gotta tell you on the freeway it just feels like I need more power on the top end. Theres not really alot of power in the highers gears (4th-5th) higher rpms . Are there any mods that help in this area?
Thanks again guys
Hey Luke did you ever get to install those pinion snubbers in the factory bumpstop positions? If so how did they work out, any difference in comfort?
Posted by Luke87GT (Member # 21) on
:
I installed only one in the center above the pumpkin.
Sold the other two.
My car is not that low nor do I cruise around with fat girls on Saturday nights, so I don't think it ever really kisses the progressive snubber.
Basically, I did not need them.
If my car was lower, I would benefit from em...
Looks like the rear of your car is low enough that they might help you out.
