499 for a core system with a 20gig hd. 599 for a fully loaded system with a 60 gig hd?

I'm happy w/ my x-box 360, but I hope my roomate gets ps3. $600 is fukkin crazy. I couldn't imagine why you need a 60gb HD unless you have all the games in the world. [Confused]

I will be getting one. I am a video game junky. I have them all from the Atari, NES, SNES, Turbo Grafx, Genesis, dreamcast.......all the way to my 360. Although I doubt I get the ps3 on launch day. Xbox will have halo 3 that day... [worship]

oh and the 599 version will have the Wii and HDMI for thos ewith Hi def tv's. Playing games on Hi Def is intense.... [worship]

I'm still hurting from buying x-box 360 package. It's my roomates turn. I wonder which is going to be better, 360 or PS3. I'm loving Ghost recon for 360. Its probably one of the best games out. [worship]

Im gettin one. Its actually pretty cheap considering what it is, An Entertainment Center. 3.2 GHz PPC Cell with 7 3.2 GHz SPEs. It has Blu-Ray, DVD, CD, 60GB Hard Drive With Linux, Memory Stick, Compact Flash, SD/MMC slot, Bluetooth, WiFi, 4 USB ports and online capabilities. Sony wont be turing that much of a profit with the PS3.

Considering a Blu-Ray DVD Player will cost anywhere from $700 - 1000, the ps3 is a bargain. Eigth film studios, and various other major corporatons support Blu-ray.

Just like MS with the 360... Both of them will be losing a bit money on each console, Sony moreso, but they will make it up on royalties on the games. Notice how the "next gen" games cost $10 more now a game? They sell a hell of a lot more games than they sell systems...

Printer manufacters have done this for years, sell the printers for cheap... make a raping profit on the ink carts.

I'm a avid gamer, and I ignore comments like "fukkk system x" or whatever... For me, its about the GAMES, not the BRAND. Blind brand loyalty is for fanatical fanboys.

I'm saving my money now and going to purchase like 4 or 5 of them and sell them for like 3 times as much just what happened like with the xbox 360's, oh and I'm keeping a ps3 for myself. They look sweet I can't wait till they come out.
