I am considering a trade for a 99 Cobra with 72,000 miles. It is a manufacturer buyback in 01. I called ford and they said it was because of the hp issues. Some people really complained i guess and got them to do buybacks. Carfax shows this and no accidents. All body panels match. So my question is it worth a trade for a 93 Cobra that is bone stock with 80K miles? Whats your guys opinions if the buyback kills the value.

no...93 cobras are worth about the same, if not more right now. Plus, in a few years, the 99 will depreciate, while the 93 keeps its value, if not raises. I say keep the 93

buy backs are just like salvaged titles when you go to sell it. You have to try to explain why it was bought back, etc. It for sure wouldnt be worth book.
