Sweet! My name is Harold. 03 Jeep rubicon. It would be cool to get everyone from cafords with a jeep or off road capable vehicle on a trip out to the rubicon or hollister? I really dont have anyone to go wheeling with, none of my friends have rigs at all.

Whats up? I live in fremont. Have you ever been on the bay area 4x4 site? I have met up with them at the san jose meet and greet before. I guess its held in campbell right near bascom avenue at the old happy days diner. I have only stopped by once a few months ago to see what jeeps they had. Do you frequent any local sites or are you a member of any clubs? I have met one guy soo far from the club strictly jeeps, ever heard of them? Theyre out of Las Gatos.

Pirate4x4.com
Jeepsunlimited.com
At Pirate if your a new member your considered a newbie and your treated like shit by all the old members. I only have like 200 posts there and i've been a member for 3 years lol. I don't get treated like a newbie anymore i just didn't like their attitude so i didn't psot there often.

bunchmyfunky- sounds awesome man! Let me know when you get back. I will definately be ready by then. Im buying a trailer in a week or two to get the cobra and jeep around. I dont care to drive the jeep on the beadlocks and bias ply Iroks. For the little city driving that I will do I picked up some 35" X terrains on black steelies. Lets go wheelin!
Dana- Whats up man? I hear you about pirate- they dont like newbies over there. haha. It caught me off guard at first but its cool cause theres soo much tech.

Yea i do post on bayarea4x4 once in a while. i go to the meet 'n greets at happy days when i can but i usually work wednesday nights. i also post on pacifickrawlers.com once in a while (most of the guys post on bayarea4x4 too). my group is just 5 of my close friends who all have jeeps. i'll let you know when we plan a trip down to hollister. the only other 4x4 site i go on is jeepforum.com pirate is good for tech stuff but i don't post on there cuz of the newbie bashing
happy wheelin'

Not much, trying to figure out my twin stick conversion, i don't think its shifting into 4wd low or high but the other stick shifts in 2wd low and high.

I think i just need to shorten the linkage, it'll be an easy fix if thats the case.
Posted by Cobra5.0Jeep (Member # 1482) on

OK figured out the positions for the twin stick but now my check engine light is flashing I have a short under the dash cause if i reach under there and hit the wires the check engine light will turn off or stay on until i hit them again. i think it is effecting the engien cause the engine sounded like it was missing tonight.

Jeep is FIXED
The short i had under the dash was effecting the engine and making it miss.

I have a set of like new (100 street miles) 35 super swamper radials if you are interested 35x14.5x15. They come on 15 inch black steeel wheels from a bronco so they fit the jeep bolt pattern too. 5x5.5.
