I finnaly got a close look at a asc mclaren mustang this weekend at the knotts show. I really want that convertible top lid for my project. Are there any other websforums or resources on finding parts or atleast other ppl with these cars?

thanks

I have a 89 ASC McLaren. There arent many communities just for them. But if you google asc mclaren you will find some. There are a few people over at stangnet that have asc's.

If all you're looking for is just the top to replace your existing one, it won't work. McLaren lowered and raked the windshield back so it's lower than a normal 'vert. They then used like a Mercedes SL top to replace the Ford one so it will fit correctly.

he wants the body panel that covers up the top well.

he does not want a top at all, he's making a roadster out of his convertable.

The cover isn't removable. It's hinged and an integral part of keeping the top attached when it's up. The McLaren 'verts are WAY different than normal 'verts.
