A Buddy Of Mine Just Finished Building Up A 73 Mach 1 And When He Took It To DMV To Get It Registered They Said Some BS And Could Not Do It. Does Anyone Have A Hookup Or Know Someone Who Can Do It For Me. Your Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated. Thanks.

why wouldnt they register it?? Even with a hookup, I doubt it can be registered if the history says stolen or something bad like that...

Well my buddy bought it without a motor and just a tranny. We found it at a boat yard at the alameda base and my buddy left a note on the windshield. the dude sold it to him with the flatbed that it was on. so he payed the dude and we halled it home.

hey dude. accorse javs i ran a dmv check on this one dude. It's never been in a car accident or been stolen. the car is clean. we picked it up and i paid the guy in full. the car hasent been registered since 92 so yeah it's out of the dmv database. but yeah. it's clean the only reason i don't want to get it registered is cuz i don't have patience and i don't really know the full history of the car like they ask to know on the sheet. I went there and picked up a sheet and didn't know some of the answers so i just left. and am to lazy to return so if any one can help me it's legit not stolen or anything like that.

Thanks.

Just a guess, but they'll probably need a VIN verification. It's a form at the DMV. You have to have a cop look over the car and make sure the VIN numbers match. He signs the form and you can proceed, that is unless your too lazy and want to sell me the car for 1$ [Big Grin]

just like 50hs5oh said to do. my buddy beau had to take his 1970 torrino (after he fully restored it) to a CHP officer who verified the vin # and such and looked over the car. before anything could be registered

Sean meow is answer to all of this. Dude dont get it registered just put the 1973 Mustang Garande Deluxe Ivory Green Metallic plates on the 1973 Mach 1. The cops will never know the difference besides the Mach beign faster.

When I imported my Mustang from the UK, I had to get the car checked out by the local police in Dublin. It took 20 mins, don't understand why you say you don't have time and want a hook up.

It's no big deal, just follow the process if you want the car on the road legally.

Yeah, but if they ran the plates and checked the VIN, he would be done for... Plate swapping is illegal and so is driving an un-registered/un-insured car...
