well guys i used to say a whole lot of shit bout them.i got to give a BIG THANKS to 03SHKR and apex well last weeks i orderd some rims from them...not only did i get them hella fast but i couldnt find a better price anywhere..so everything i said i take back..things round there are really actually changing for the good..so if u on here to flame them dnt even bother posting.they are actually steping there game up and tryin to help EVERYONE. even if they know u bad mouth them. any reason why you talked smack about it? was it a bad experience you personally had with them or was it based on what you've heard?

seems like the new apex is doing a whole lot of better things than the previous owners. their prices on performance parts are definitely competitive with mail order.

it wouldve been better for the shop to have been renamed rather using the same apex which carries a bad rep from the previous owner.

does anyone know why mike, owner of apex doesnt post on cafords anymore?

heres one for you guys! a friend of mine took his car down to apex which he had to have towed (75.00),..car was there for three weeks and they had'nt touched a thing...when he finaly goes down there to talk to them they just tryed to get him to change his mind on putting in a dfi harness because they were scared to do the work...and this is after he was told they could do it. now he has to tow the car out of there and take it some where else which meens more tow fees. pretty f**ked up.

i've never dealt with apex personally, but from what i've heard from credible people on the board and in person, i think apex will be the last place i would go to for any kind of work. most people don't get banned for no reason(minus some people from other baords) and he(mike mak) was banned after talking shit about several local shops and trying to dodge a customer claim of damage to their car.
again, i've never dealt with apex, but after being in this game for over 10 years, i've learned that when you hear multiple people saying the same things, you tend to believe them.

i'm glad you got your rims, but wheel ordering and actual work on a car are two totally different things.

I agree with this completly. I have never had a bad experience with apex, but as far as work on my car I'll be just happy doing the work myself. I've been screwed over by a so-called speed shop and will never trust anyone to work on it again.

my experience with APEX has been nothing but killer lately.

- they SCT tuned my car, and got it up form 287 upto 310-317rwhp

- installed some new parts

- found some issues with my car, addressed them, and now we are going to take steps on fixing them.

- killer parts deals

- told me to save money, and not go the route i was thinking of.

unfortunately, my name and comments were spread ALL over those linked threads, but that was a different time, that was the past, and the past cant be fixed.....only the future can be made good. so far....so good [Smile]

APEX, along with come hard work of my self and my friends have made my ride go [burnout]

Thanks man. Although not everyone here agrees (which is fine) please remember that Apex isn't JUST Mike. There are other employees here. So if your beef is with Mike, so be it, but when you come into the shop, 99% of the time you won't see or deal with him.

There was no hassle when i went to buy parts from apex, diddnt have to wait , just gave me box of set of mac headers and the intake for my stang. thats a good thing about a local shop [patriot]

he hooked it up as well 20$ cheaper than summit and diddnt have to pay shipping, still love summit but thats a good experiance i had with apex, got the parts and i was out [patriot]

APEX was awesome enough to help me find the parts and pieces i need to build my own Rear IRS Differential cooler. that project is next on my list, and all i need to do is get them part #s for stuff i need. awesome! I can vouch for fivoOgirl, she usually isn't on here, she is usually on another West coast mustang board. The last time I went to APEX was to get my car tuned my Byron, have never gone back since, but that is when Bill ran the place, and prices were high. But When ever you have a business that deals with tons of customers, there will always be a hit or miss somewhere. People tend to talk about the misses more than the hits. It is either you trust them or you don't.

Also, when the 'I heard this, I heard that' surface, it's been pointed out that many were with the old owners/workers of Apex & not the new ones. That's the only point I'm trying to make.

I can't believe some of the shit people write because they don't feel "satisfied" or they're become butthurt because their car didn't make the power THEY FEEL it should have. I've heard the stories, I've read the posts, and I've talked with Mike and APEX has worked on my car. All's I can say is that being a adult who can come to his own conclusions as opposed to jumping on the "hate wagon" is that APEX in my educated opinion is a stand up shop and they try(as any respectable shop)to do a good job. Sometimes shit happens though and from what I understand, Mike has stood by his work. I have no respect for people who feel "dissatified" and come here on CaFords and rip a business BEFORE they settle up with the shop. I see this happening alot here and it's getting old. The only business I ever see getting bad mouthed here is APEX. They have made a lot of people mad it seems. I have never delt with them, and I have nothing bad to say either. If all these people have bad experiences with this one place, its not the people [Roll Eyes]

Well from a standpoint of a adult that really dont like wasting my money, I find some validity in these threads. Granted some folks are riding the band wagon. But like I said where there is smoke there is bound to be fire. All of these people having issues lets me know that there is something to the problem. Now as a business owner myself I sympathize with what they are going thru and wish them the best as far getting back right. But you only get 1 time to make a first impression and unfortunately I dont see me bringing my car there nor making recommendations. Which I know they dont care about me. But just letting ya'll know that I appreciate the heads up on the mis-givings going on there. And for those that have good experiences I appreciate ya'll sharing those as well. I've been disastified with a company or a shop, but I don't try and "rally the troops" for my cause. If you're referring to my post, I never said any ONE MEMBER is immature. I merely stated that most of the stuff here is hearsay or uneducated opinions...which I feel is immature behavior. I feel that ceratin individuals have a beef with a shop...then they rally the troops to put pressure on the business to fix a problem that wasn't nesasarily the shop's doin' to begin with. Some of these stories (IMO) are case in point. I'm not tryin' to suck up to APEX, I'd do this for any shop/buiness. I know owners of other shops around there area as well as being a involved member of this community, and the concerns are the same from all. I just believe that people are a too liberal with the bashing of company who depends on sites like this for support...and for business. I only had my SFCs installed at Apex and I am greatly satisfied! Other than that I have gone there a few times asking newbie type questions and they have really cool about everything. Before they moved to the new location Rick, I think that might be his name, even showed me around the shop telling me about the type of work they do. The new management and new and old employees are fine in my book! [Whoo Whooooo!]

All you apex fans are doing is throwing out curse words or saying "Maybe some other people got screwed, but I made it out okay" . Just because you made it out okay does not mean you can throw salt on the wounds of the customers that had real issues with their service. That's being selfish.

Yes, I am a friends with Chris at Apex and I am also friends with Mario, Mike, Ed, and the rest of the guys at Apex. I've been doing business with APEX ever since Bill sold it, I've had a lot of work done to my cars by them. Throughout this time I have become friends with the employees. The Apex employees have always been friendly and more than happy to talk with there customers. You must have a pretty pathetic life to waste your time on me and Apex. [Smile]
