I miss my old car, but could not have bought my home and kept it comfortably.........

Looks great, nice work finishing it with the paint. How do you like that tint on the windshield [Wink]

How much did it cost to get the fenders flared? What type of front 5-lug conversion did you go with? Looks great, except for that ford motorsport sticker on the quater window [worship]

It's a Saleen, 5 lug is stock.........

2k for the flair job.

How far are they flared out? Would those rims rub on the outside if you didn't get them flared?

not bad it looks almost as clean as mine [Big Grin]

Without the flair you couldn't drive 5 feet with those wheels.

are talking the rears or both front and back? It's just flared in the back correct?

Not feeling it. Over all it looks like a Mad Max vehicle for some reason. But there are some good parts to it. I guess it is just too much black for me. Is the front windshield tinted?

Not with Saleen length axles you didn't

When I owned it I had 18x9.5" chrome Y2K's at all 4 corners. NOT A CHANCE they'd fit with just folling the fenders.

[worship] That thing looks great. I bet you really miss it now...

If the title were clean I would have kept it for sure. As is, I spent too much on that car. Buyer saved a LOT of money previously put into it.

I forgot about the salvage. Worth it for the low miles though. I wish you could have kept it Don. Congrats to the new owner [patriot]

Right. The Ford Motorsport quarter window stickers were stock on '84-'88 Saleens.

Posted by silverLX (Member # 3207) on :

You have a 93 Cobra too?? Lets see that thing!!!

I agree with the smoked headlights and the taillights... I also think that some black chrome tips would just make it complete... very clean ride!!

Posted by 87#184saleen (Member # 6276) on :

it already has chrome tips you bearly could notice them.also im getting a cowl hood and new head lights.

I like the windsheild tint! I do it tall my Vehicals. It is nice to have, verry rare I wear sun glasses. I think I have had my winsheild done on the tahoe for about 5 years now, and never been pulled over for it(knock on wood)

who did the actual Flairing job. It gives it that wider meaner stance. We need a pic from straight in front and straight behind.

Posted by hidnn.o.s. (Member # 1219) on :

The tint is too extreme imo. I went the whole windshield @ 20% with a 5% brow. The rest of the car is ALL 5%.

[Cool]

Posted by JoHnNy SaVaGe (Member # 6424) on :

I know it has chrome tips, but I was talking about black chrome

do you think it would look funny if they extended the fenders any farther out cause i have the 18x10s on the rear of my 89 fox vert and they barely rub with 295 f1 supercars, but i was going to try to get skinnier tires first but im not sure how skinny to go without getting that stretched look. did they extend just the lip or did they extend the whole fender to make it look normal? what ever they did it looks good.
