Lloyd is gone [Mad]

Lloyd is garbage. They need a playmaker, not someone who can provide 1 acrobatic catch every other game. If they could find someone to average 7 catches for 90+ yards, they won't even remember who Lloyd was.

I agree. He wasnt anything great its just the rest of the team/roster sucked so when he made a play everyone thought he was going to be the next Jerry Rice. Now hopefully the niners will work that draft and get some of the needed players.

The niners just picked up Antonio Bryant to replace lloyd.

i love that move, since i am a redskins fan. i can't believe they only got a 3rd and 4th rounder for him. sounds like a steal to me.

who cares.. the niners will still barely make it to .500 if that.. regardless.

I think Lloyd was a good receiver with potential to be a great receiver in the coming years.

Looks who he's had throwing the ball to him [Eek!]

Couldn't agree with you more. When you have a quarterback that struggles getting 7 completions to the whole slew of players, you can't get one receiver to shine!!!!!

Hmm... that's true, but all I've ever seen from him were acrobatics. No breakaway speeds, very mediocre blocking, and a lot of MOUTH to go along with it.

I hope he shines in Washington. If he does have all that potential, he won't show it on the niners.

That's been another great thing about him, after TO I thought for sure he was going to have the same mouth, but he has ALWAYS been nice/polite/thankfull.

As a 9er fan, that defense is old and well played out [Frown]

I agree. How long can niner fans continue to say that?

As for Lloyd though... wasn't he the all about "me" type of player. He was the one that Beasley singled out as only worrying about the "bling" and not the team. Sounds like the 1st step in the TO direction.

I doubt the Niners would take back TO after the headaches in the past, even though Marucci is gone.

what about resigning Peterson? They have Chris Hope visiting this week according to yahoo's NFL page.

damn, they're just busy in the reciever market. They just picked up WR Bryan Gilmore from the Dolphins

I agree completly. What I meant to say that Lloyd was taking a step in the TO direction with the "me" attitude that Beasley implied.

ahhhh, ok. Yeah, the Niners don't need another TO incident. I'd be surprised if the Cowboys signed TO too, remember the star incident? [Eek!]

before the niners worry about getting wide recievers they have to get a consistant running back and a veteran quarterback who knows what he's doing.

Posted by hidnn.o.s. (Member # 1219) on :

RB, WR, QB, NONE OF THAT MATTERS.

They "need" to get an offensive line [Mad]

Dude if we had a decent running back who can decide what hole to take than the offensive line would be able to hold the defensive line off cause they would be on there heals. also a good veteran quarterback woul be able to make decisions faster on what to do wouldnt stand there for like 3 min. deciding what to do. So offensive line does fine if we had the accents.

Posted by hidnn.o.s. (Member # 1219) on :

[BS flag] ther are NO holes in the line for backs to go through, NONE. A veteran would only get sacked faster. EVERY play there are 2-3 defensive players that get through the line to the QB, ALWAYS.
