Like the title said, i was thiiissss close to trading in my car today. It was a confuising day overall. I woke up excited thinking i might get a new car. I go out and i ask my mom to come cuz sales people dont take 19 year old guys seriously by himself. I went in lookin for something faster (Evo or an STi maybe)

I left the house excited tho, but as i go onto the onramp i had to slow down cuz cars were coming, i saw an opening. I floor it and it finally chirped from 1-2. my car never did that being an auto (thanks to CDT for the tuner BTW). i was excited and thought "maybe i shouldnt get rid of the car", after all it is my first car.

I pull into the dealership and the first thing that caught my eye was a 04 Black Lightning. Wow that this was so nice for being a truck. the suede seats felt "like butta". I talked to the sales person and took it on the road. I damn just mashed it the whole time. In all honesty, i wasnt impressed. My car felt wayy faster, but man i wish mine had that blower whine.

Then i went to an 06 GT. They had a premium black on black 5 spd that was...ehhh...nice i guess. We had to take another 5 spd to the lot where the black one was and i wasnt impressed. only thing that impressed me was the electronic do hickeys.

When i sat down with the salesman i just thought....my car is better than those two, why trade in? I apologized to the salesman for wasting his time and went on my way.

The dealership also had a new Saleen 281SC'ed in white...looked nice but peep the price..

I don't see how you can say a 2V felt stronger than a 3V. You obviously didn't take it up high enough to feel the difference. You won't notice it as much down low as you will up top. But regardless, I'm not a fan of the new 'stangs. Try and find a used Slobra or Mach 1. [Wink]

that extra valve gives an extra 50 hp to the front wheels [burnout]

haha.. then again. I have never driven a 05+. The only Mustang I've ever driven has been mine. So I really don't know from experience. Just that it SHOULD!

I think its Towne Ford in Redwood City, but they have FOUR Saleens sitting in their showroom floor for months now. I must imagine they must also have that ridiculous mark-up as well. Everyday I pass by and wonder if they're ever going to get rid of any of those cars. I cant even comprehend why someone would dish out so much money for a Saleen.

Decent resale value compared to trying to sell a modified Mustang. Can finance the entire car as opposed to paying out of pocket for modifications. But, I don't think I would ever buy another Saleen.
