That was informative.

They should definitely give them some sort of area to do it though. It isn't going to stop anytime soon with the amount of police manpower they have.

It'll definitely be cheaper then hiring police just to break up cars doing donuts.

But it's bananas out there.

even if they did provide a place to do donuts, no one would fund it. They would still do it at intersections and residential areas. Sideshows are really getting out of hand with their messing up innocent people's cars. Good documentary [patriot]

Shits kinda sad how bad the sideshow has gotten. I remember like 15 years ago when I had my first stang and used to go to the sideshow, it was so much more fun than dangerous, basically like a car show in the streets. Kickin it, trying to get a breezy to hook up with. Everyone bail over to emeryville denny's after...just chillin

Now you lucky to make it home. I love the bay and my peoples, but some of that shit makes me glad I aint young no more and even gladder that I dont live there anymore.

I find it interesting that he brought up the bowling alley and the parks that used to be in East Oakland and now people have nothing to do.

Sideshows are a way of life in Oakland. Nobody is going to leave the sideshow to go bowling at 2:30am in the morning, lol.

You could build a disneyland in East Oakland and give every Oakland resident lifetime passes and the sideshow will still go on. All you will have as a result is one dangerous disneyland, lol.

With the man-power that police have available, I don't see a solution to this problem. You could start permanently impounding cars, and that will minimize the people bringing their own cars out there, however, something tells me that many of these people live like they don't have much to lose.

Interesting problem...

lol...they would just buy them back from A&B....But it is like an epidemic, just a shame to see it go bad like that. Interesting documentary piece tho.

go ahead and buy them back... How many times you gonna buy them back? 1? 2? 3?

Eventually the wallet will get thin and they'll think twice.

Wow that was a good video. I think I'm in trouble. My 6 year old daughter walked in while I was watching it and said "Ooooohh that looks like fun!". About a month ago she told me she wants my Cobra when she gets older. Hell No! She will be out sideshowin it! [Eek!]

This reminds me of the joke where,

Two men are walking in the desert, a White man and a middleeastern one, and they find a magic lamp burried in the sand.

They rub the lamp and a genie comes out. The genie says "For having released me from the lamp I will grant you each one a wish.

The Middle Eastern man says "I want a wall that no one can ever get through with no western influence etc etc through out the world of Allah and to protect the followers of Allah." "Done" says the Genie.

The White man ask the Genie "Tell me about this wall." The Genie responds "It is of solid concrete 10,000 feet tall 15 miles thick." To which the White man responds "Fill it with water."

Moral of the story there should be a wall built around Oakland. [Razz]
