im going to be looking to buy my first dirt bike, since its my first im going to be looking for a used bike and either a honda CR125 or a yamaha YZ125. ive been looking on craigslist.com but is there any other places i should be looking?

keep looking on there...you're bound to find a good ass deal on the bike you're looking for. Are you looking for a street legal one, or mainly for off-road use? If you want a street legal one, get a motard. I heard they're fun as hell [Whoo Whooooo!]

not looking for street legal just something i can take to some rec. parks and things like that. my budget is going to be about 2,500 so don't know if buying from a dealer would be realistic.

ya..they got some nice used ones..my boy jus got a 250f all street legal wit all extra parts and super motor rims tires for 3000..let me know

its a honda 600 x r street legal and off road it has some upgrades $2300

i know of a kawasaki dealer that usually has some dirtbike for an ok price its in sunnyvale i think on el camino... try there.... other than that... craigslist is usually ur best bet...i just got my lil 50 off of a guy my bf knows and races with.... i know he sells them on craigslist too.

I have a 2001 yz125 that has only been ridden about 6 times in the last 3-4 years. It has a pro-circuit pipe, renthal bars, new spark arrestor. I will be asking $2200 when I send in the ad next week. If you don't want mine, just check the local classified section of your paper under motorcycle/off road etc. Most dealers have used dirtbikes for sale,just look them up in the yellow pages & start calling around.
