FYI,
There's a lot of people on here that PM me about motor builds for HCI. Well....just to let everybody know, I am no longer working for HCI.

JeffS made me an offer I couldn't refuse. [Smile]
I'll be working with Jeff now in San Jose.

Hope to see you guys around the shop.

(BTW, I am still capable of building bad-ass engines....I just don't have the facilities to pull/install motors....& Jeff doesn't have the space to store cars for any extended length of time.)

-Shaun

Yep, comuting at the moment....the drive sucks, but I'm looking at 3 days a week (hopefully) so I may end up staying down there 2 nights each week.

Eric, Jeff & I did your base 'mail order' tune the other night.

Jeff's shop is near Santa Clara University.....same area as Apex & Mustang Ranch.

Shaun,

So then is Jeff's shop turning into a real business or will all be side work?

Jeff has asked me to help him out at the shop.
What I'm going to do is register a buisness name for myself & run the shop for Jeff. So, basically it'll be 2 seperate buisnesses working together under 1 roof.

Dana,
If HCI can't take care of you, I'd be more than happy. Actually, if you want a big block, I'd say go to Cole at HCI, if you want a stroked 351 small block, I'm your man.

Yeah i want a big block. I want it to be a rare engine so it makes the car more special.

I hear ya. Well, in that case if I were you I'd stop by HCI & chat with Cole on the project. He's a big-block Ford guru. That's his specialty.

What is the second business going to be? Are you guys open on a regular basis or is it by appointment only?

Are you guys going to offer other services besides tuning?

how much power did it make?

Cobra5.0jeep: Yes, Cole can build you an FE.

FoX GT: Glad you're happy Bud. Looked like a solid 50-55hp gain from the last time the car was on the dyno.

Dag302: Your off-road pipe is sitting in the area I worked in. Its in between 2 of the tool cabnets.

At this point we're offering mechanic services related to dynotuning. Basically, if you want a mod done & plan on having us tune it, we'll install the parts & tune the car.

Cool, good luck at the new place. That sucks not having you right here though. I guess I wont be bringing over any more pizza....

Will you guys be doing BBC's? Or just fords?

SCT EFI tuning for now.

Although I can get someone out to tune Carburator setups.....Ford or Chevy, that shouldn't be a problem.

Speaking of a tune, I really need one badly. My idle is very rough and i idle in neutral at 2000 rpm's. I dont know if a tune could fix that but I also wanted to put on my 80mm maf as well. What's your schedule looking like?

Does it already have a tune? If not, that sounds like a vacuum leak....either way, I'm sure we can fix it.
Schedule is booking up fast.....at the moment we can fit you in for tuning after the 1st of March.

If it's not the current tune that's causing the problem, you'll want to get whatever is causing the problem fixed...in which case we'll definately get you in sooner to fix the problem, then tune later.

I don't envy that commute. I was driving to Livermore from Santa Rosa because Modacar gave me a great offer. 100 miles each way sucked bad.

Did you put a different throttle body on? My dad's cobra did the same thing when we put his bigg throttle body on. Could be your idle motor.

Call me at the shop tomorrow...I may have time to check it out. I'll be there around 10:30am.

FRDFURY: Of course I can build your engine. I can sourse all the parts as well.....if need be. I'm direct with ADperformance. (basically the cheapest place to get engine parts)
