I saw that, sounds and looks like a good deal on a very nice car with LOW mileage. I thought about it, but really want a 93 Cobra with under 10k miles instead so I'll wait.

Yes there are real ones, but for some reason, that one doesn't look like one to me. I can't picture someone doing some of the things this guy did to a real one.

that's the same way i felt... ie. hood, spoiler... i thought they came w/ s281 spoilers...

Notice the Spoiler is different, the emblems under the cobra's, then why would you change the hood, and add those stickers, that are not even the Saleen S281 logo's on it? If it was a limited production, you think you wouldn't alter the body look. Wheel, are no big deal, but the overall package.

what if the guy just installed a aftermarket hood.
if all the paperwork is in order and the Saleen badging is good it might be legit. [Confused]

Not just a hood, the wing too. Plus there are extra saleen emblems that the originals don't have. Kinda looks shady.

actually I know that car and have seen it in person, it is a real Saleen Cobra, the owner bought it from Penisula Ford and had them put a "E" wing on it..........He later changed the hood and did all that sticker stuff.... [Roll Eyes]

He also has his production numbers wrong only 11 Saleen Cobras were made in 2003.

FYI that car had been for sale for a while, and if you're interested there is a 03 Redfire Saleen Cobra Coupe in LA (note not the one in SOCAL) that has been for sale for awhile also.

Good information. I wouldn't buy that car unless it was completely STOCK.

Change a wing/hood/decals etc on a car they only made 11 of [Roll Eyes]

Most of the changes the guy did to it are superficial, you should be able to revert it back to stock really easily.

What it really boils down to is how badly you want one painted white, as there were only two white coupes made for the 03/04 model years.
