i was just wondering ...

have you guys/girls been hassled by cops about your tint..

if yes, what % tint do you have??

What % tint do you think is safe to roll around in?? im talking about passenger/driver side windows... 50%? 35%..

I have 20% all the way around and the police up here don't even look at me. I know if i go into Sac though they would arrest me and impound my car

I have 35% on driver/passenger window and haven't had a problem with the cops at all. I think any darker you will get a ticket.

Yea on the window sticker it says Factory window tint. and in Oregon it Ok to have all your windows tinted. so he couldnt say much, or didnt know what to say.

it's illegal to have any kind of tint on the driver and passenger side. It's all dependant on the officer if they wanna cite you for it, so if you're gonna do it, might as well get what you want...

i had 30 % on the doors and 5 % on the 1/4 and rear window and i got a damn ticket by a BART cop...Fukker ...then a week after i removed the door tint i got my beat stolen at bart... Bastards seen i had a system with no tint...

I had 20% in my 87GT for a number of years. Never had a problem. I know plenty that did though.

Might be a headache...

Actually it is legal to have tint on the front windows, BUT, the darkest you legally can go is 70%, so therefore it is not illegal to tint the front windows

Cops just want to be able to see in the car through the side windows, I asked my brother(brentwood officer/S.W.A.T) about front tint, and according to state of california.....70%

My neighbor owns a place that tints windows and he told me before i got mine done that he was required to tell me that any kind of tint in the front driver and passenger windows was illegal.

tint shops require you to sign a form when you get your front windows tinted cause it's illegal. my brother is also a cop (santa clara) and has told me that any tint that is not factory is illegal..just my 2 cents...

i have 15% in the rear and 20% on the sides...looks nice...

got pulled over cop gave me a ticket for burnt out lisence plate lights...no front plate..and i didnt have my DL on me ..didnt get one for the windows though!
