Hey im putting in my mongoose vortech kit from MPH this wkend, and I have a tune, but id like to go somewhere reputable in case my tune needs a tweak. Where is the best place in the vallejo/fairfield area (if any) and if not, in the bay area?

No one in the FF/SS area burns chips. Spend your money wisely and go to JeffS...it's well worth it. If you need any assistance on that kit, lemme know!

Any reason why you don't want to use the chip included in the kit?

get a Xcal 2 hand held tuner. it's by far more versitile than a chip. plus too, there can be this mishap to where your chip fry's up or the chip causes your ecu to fry.

I'd suggest giving RPM in Rohnert Park a call. (707) 584-8230 if interested. Ask for Brad or Martin and tell them Don gave you the number off this site, they'll work out a deal for you.
Goodluck with the setup

Hey, the Mongoose Kit is from Modular Powerhouse.
http://www.modularpowerhouse.com
Its a vortech kit that comes complete with 42lb injectors, 90mm lightning MAF, Focus fuel pump, and a custom tune with an X-CALIBRATOR 2...
Awesome kit and the guy who tunes them, TIM, is a pretty respected guy on the online boards. His tunes are supposed to be dead on, and I dont have a chip, just a flasher. Ill give that guy in Rohnert Park a try when I get my A/F checked.

I heard about those Mongoose s/c kits? For 2-valves correct?
Their picture logo is hilarious!

If you just need the A/F checked, go to Advanced Dyno in Suisun.

MODULAR POWERHOUSE
Tims tunes are usually dead on. You can email him the afr charts and he can tune it from his shop. He will e-mail you the new program. The tune he sets you up with is good enough to get you to the dyno he says.
