Thanks everyone.

Los Banos PD Called me after graduation to inform me that I have my polygraph on Tuesday and at the same time they are going to go over my background packet.

We'll see.

We are losing two of our contract cities, Elk Grove and Citrus Heights. They are forming their own p.d.'s

Elk Grove was going to be an "at will employment" but that has been changed. Alot of people are going to lateral over. The new police chief for CHPD came from Menlo Park P.D.

Just some options for ya.

Elk Grove and Citrus Heights both basicly told me a month ago. We are currently only filling positions with laterals.

San Mateo County Sheriff is still down 100+ deputies. 5OHS50 I think is the one who told me that.

Were still down 140 deputies in Sac. Our contract is up soon and negotiating a big raise so we can be comprable to surrounding agencies like Folsom P.D. who is the highest paid.

CHPD either just had or is having a second cut off date very soon for the 2nd round of hiring. It should be extended to academy grads.

San Mateo County S.O. Best contract around. They get 1% above whatever any other S.O. negotiates for. Easy 110 to 130k a year, unlimited OT. 3% @ 50. And I have heard not so good things about the menlo guy going to Citrus Heights. No one is happy in Menlo Park right now.
