I'd go for a 95 Cobra R over the 93. The 95 R was also the last Ford with a 351 Windsor.

Those are Saleens, son. I believe Saleen buys, or used to anyway, mostly V6 Mustangs for the conversion. Does Ford own Saleen? Not last time I checked.

They are not sold as production Ford vehicles in the U.S. The 1993-95 Lightning, and the 1995 Cobra R are unique in that they shared the 351, and are uniquely Fords.

Well guess what...you're both wrong. 1996 Bronco's, F series pickups and E Series vans came with 351's. [Razz] [Wink]

Yes, correct. I was referring to production Mustangs, since we're talking Mustangs. I'm aware that Ford continued with the 351 through 1996, or thereabouts. Of course, you can still buy 351 crate motors from Ford, but that's all together different.

Anyhow, it's academic, Ford does not offer the 351 in a production vehicle in the U.S. any longer.

Yes those are the stock rims. It came with the same brakes as the 94/95 Cobra did.

He must have had some test drives or sold it. Because it was for sale a few months back for $49,000 and at that time it had only 49 miles on it.

Actually it's not going for $45k the current bid is over $46k and the reserve has not been met [Eek!]

EDIT: Totally not worth it IMO. If you are going to spend that much $$$ on a stang then get a classic like a Shelby, Boss, etc. They will hold their value much better.

Saleen is still an authorized FORD installer, and FORD recogonized Brand. Same as Steeda, Roush and SVT. So the 2000 S351 would be the last 351. It's still covered under ford warranty.

nice car, but in reality its not worth it since its still not concedered a collectors vehical, even though most mustang guys will consider it a collector car it still not.

That car deffinitely IS worth it, if you have the money to spend on it. It is the last year of the Fox Body, First year back of the Cobra, and a Cobra R at that. Less than 100 of them in the world and this has LESS than 100 miles on it. CLEARLY a collector car to any Mustang enthusiast.

Nice car...I'd buy it if it were black, but it's gotta be the most collectable SVT Mustang ever!....

Also, I don't think it's worth $46k+ At least not now.

Agreed, but they made 107... at 1st they made 100, but there was a lawsuit filed against Ford because they pre-sold more than they made...
If I had the money... it would be in the garage asap. [worship] to the 93 cobra!
