I know that a lot of people are into the foxbody notches nowadays, buy why all of a sudden. I used never see modded notches, but now I think they're the most sought after foxbody. Just wondering why I personally, like them, but also like hatchbacks when they have slight appearance mods. Is there anything better/wose between the two body styles? Also, does anyone know weight comparison of a hatch, notch, and vert? Thanks

i used to like lx hatches but after i say a couple of notches at a car show i went to i fell in love with notchbacks. notchs weight in around 3200lbs and hatches i think weight in around 3450lbs. i like my notch, i dont realy care what people think about it, only opinion that matters is mine.

I have had lx's, conertibles, hatchbacks but i like the look of the notch when i bought my first notch no one even knew what they were years ago i mean like 5 years ago couldnt even find one in cali thats why i bought mine in texas and now they are showing up everywhere. for a pimp ass body style the suck thing is no trunk space but i made due. heres mine for ya. enjoy.

yea...I like them all, but it seems that most people are modding notches nowadays. Does anyone know the weight of a convertable? I know one thing though...all they got on sideshow videos are notches "What It Do!!

the only benefit is the lighter weight and they were a x number of highway patrol models ex-chp there called now and they had suspension upgrades and small motor upgrades i think thats what starting making them popular with the under 25 crowd. imo

thats what they like everytime im at a car show folks always ask what it do and i say it dont do shit but sit in my garage...

If I had a notch that was like yours...with the trunk set-up and the wheels....my shit would sit in the garage too
My opinion is that notches look mean as is...just stock body with some wheels. Hatchbacks, I think, look better with some kind of kit. Verts look good WITHOUT the luggage rack and with some rims...whether LX or GT.

The benefit, is that it is light in weight. It's lighter than the GT and LX hatch.

i like verts i just got one, and i like them all and soon i will have one of everything. i dont have a favorite i think its all how its set up. but i will have one of each hopefully by the time im 25.

I personally like and have both of them. For the hatches I like a Saleen kit on them and for the notches just plain with nice wheels.

notches are light and they are more ridid than verts or hatches.

I personally like the body style of the Notch over a LX hatch. The only thing I dislike about the hatch back is the back window.........

I like my LX hatch, I use hate the notches but they have started to grow on me especialy after seeing purplenotch's notch. I'am actually looking into buying one in a couple months. The only thing I dont like about notches is there quarter panel window.
But the LX Hatch is still my favorite.

Notch for sure , prob because i had one. They look really sleek especially when lowered, then go into gt's but when i saw purplenotch's ride i've been feinin for one ever since.

I've always liked verts. I dont think anything beats the look of a vert with the top down w/ a light bar . I always get compliments on my car. I don't knows what the big deal is w/ notches. For some reason over the last couple of years people have been growing real fond of them,..must be phase or something. I personally think the 93 cobra has the best body style of them all . I love hatchbacks and I think they look like more of a mustang than the notch does, but to each his own. I love all fox bodies though, I just have my preference. I plan to own one of each model one day.

yeah, i had that bright red 89 notch in the first pic. i bought it in 97 stock down to the 10 holes, and did everything to it short of a power adder, new interior from a 93 coupe, tko tranny, h/c/i, 5 lug conversion with real cobra r's, etc. it was one of the fastest mustangs in chico until 2003, when this 19 year old girl from texas ran a red light on her cell phone and and into me
so i bought the droptop with the insurance money and fixed her up with all the notch's goodies.
