So my fiancee and I were heading home after a little cruise in the Mustang, merging onto 280N from 92W in 5th at about 75mph. Really just taking it easy. As I was merging onto 280, I looked over my shoulder to locate the car I knew was in the 3 lane and oops! That's a CHP car! I came off the gas and coasted down to about 65 and put the cruise on. He wound up about three car lengths back, at about 7 o'clock.

He stayed right there for a couple of miles and then pulled in behind me and exited at...Bunker Hill? The exit just south of the rest stop. Anyways, as soon as he exited, I accellerated up to about 75 and moved into the 3 lane.

As we went through the overpass, I looked over at the onramp and thought "Huh, if I were a real bastard, I'd get right back on the freeway and bust me", so I pulled back into the 4 lane and coasted back down to 65. As soon as I did that, I saw his lights entering the onramp and coming back onto the freeway. Bastard!

At this point, I was passed by a large pack of traffic occupying all four lanes and averaging something like 75-80mph. About 20 seconds later, who came blasting through the pack at about 90 and right up onto my bumper? He followed me up until the rest stop, exited and gave up.

I kept it at 70 after that. I kept expecting him to start riding my ass again. [Mad] If I'd been in the GTI, he never even would have noticed me.

Happens to me all the time. Thats why i always look in my rear view every 15-20 seconds.

that same shit happens to me all the time thats why I constantly check my mirrors and drive 65-70 mph you never know when they are going to sneak up on you [Wink]

It sucks to get messed with when you haven't done anything wrong, but with all the Stangs stolen around here, it's really a good thing that he messed with you...What I'm saying is if someone stole that car/your Mustang, don't you think they would've hit the gas when they saw the CHP?...He was just "psychin you out"....Now if you gotta ticket for no real reason, then that's fucked up....

That's a good point. I hadn't thought about it that way.
