Now who says conventional is always the best way to go. My new shocks showed up for my custom Road Race suspension. I won't give specifics, but all I can say is here is just a begining pick of it being mocked up.

Sorry for the size of the pic.

Sweet looking setup. I have some black zip-ties if you want though. [Wink]

Jesse

The Zip ties were only there long enough to measure for the real clamps.

I figgured you'd use something other than zip ties when everything is mounted in the car.

They are something special. Had to wait a while for them but its worth it. All I will say is no they don't mount like normal shocks, so don't plan on ordering them, unless you have alot of specs of what is needed and have plans on the new mounts. I will throw another pic up later this week once we are further along in our new suspension set-up. [Big Grin]

didnt even look at the top of the mount, oops

I think i could fab something up to make it work, only done it to a few cars in the last year [Big Grin]

sperical style bearings that is, usually inboard because of tubs, not super long nitrogen shocks like what you got

i bet the cost a little more than a pair of lakewoods -

Looks cool but I know nothing about road racing suspension setups like this.

Actually they are the exact same overall legnth as normal ones. Major benifits to these, you will never have to buy another rear shock again. Period. These are 100% rebuildable, so when those lakewoods crap out and you have to buy another set, I still will have these. Plus unlike the lakewoods, which are useless for road racing. These have a ton of different valving set-ups for bound and rebound. Plus if you add the cost of a MM coilover sleeve kit and a set of Koni's. Those cost mroe then these, and those would still be a street shock with a sleeve to make it coilover shock, rather than being coilover shock.

i was kidding on the lakewoods, it was more of a joke because they are so cheap

weird, they look like they have a much taller body than a stock shock

either way should be sic, install pics and track updates asap [Big Grin]
