Do you have the pink slip?
If so go down to any ford dealership and they can cut you a door key and an ignition key. Only have to bring proof that its your car. IE. Pink Slip, Registration, Insurance.

I found a set of keys at the junk yard once. The door key worked on my doors and my glovebox but I never tried the ignition key. If you got a buddy with the same model car try his keys? Just a long shot. Otherwise it looks like AAA is your only bet since your car isn't registered and you haven't filled out the pink.

Just get insurance on it. Liability all you need is vin and licence plate. Then go down to ford and bring that with you and do what i said in previous post. And to all that leave there Pinks in the car. You guys are fucking idiots!

serously, try someone elses keys, it worked 2 times for us. if you dont want to pay than for reals Break into your own caR BRO. its cheaper than getting it out of the tow yard. and you probably couldnt get it out since its not even registered to you, OUCH!

first get some tools.the kind that will get you in the car.second a chiltons book to tell you how to remove the little tabs on the door locks and put in the new ones you buy at kragens aftyer that use the book again to get to the ignition and replace the ignition with the one you buy.

I'm sure you got your answer but have only read your first post on the subject. I have often lost keys to my stangs over the years. AAA will cut you new door/lock keys FREE if you are a member, otherwise any mobile lock shop should charge you $100 or less for both. Takes about 20-30 minutes.

Posted by ciscos91stang (Member # 4274) on

its more like 100 each one for the ignition and the doors.

LMFAO, did you actually pay that much. I've had 4 sets of keys made over the last 4 years for stangs. First two were different shops, last two were free through AAA. And, if you paid that much for FAR LESS than an hours work I again LMAFO
