ok guys, i dont know that much about radar, let alone POP radar. I have a escort passport 8500, and when i cruise around town the local store or gas station will set off my X or K bands, i know when i see the KA band go off its the local or state police using there radar, my question is. When the POP warning goes off on your detector can it be a false alarm like th K & X bands, or is it real like the KA band?

so far when i see KA i know its a real threat and to slow down, if i see laser same thing, i know its real (all thought i have never seen a laser warning).

When i see X i know its a store or something, when i see K i know its a store or those little trailers that have radar and say, "the speed limit is" and "your speed is".

I just want to know if something other than a radar gun can set off the POP warning on my detector or not. any links or explantions would be helpfull. thanks in advance guys.
