Hey Guys,
I need you computer guys to help me out here. I plan on buying a laptop and I just need to know what's the best affordable brand out there? I've been looking at Dell, HP, and Lenovo. Which brand has the least amount of problems? I'm looking in the $500-600 price range and only plan on using it mainly for internet and pictures... I appreciate the help.
Thanks, RD

you will not go wrong with Dell. Dell also lets you combine deals.
Check here http://www.notebookreview.com/dellCoupon.asp
Then I can see if I have some ecoupons I can forward over to you.
Then what I would suggest is once you have a solid deal, call them and try to get the sales rep to beat what you have put together. I do this everytime and I save on average 5-700 bucks on my laptops.

I've been disappointed with Lenovo quality, at least with their T60 line. The latest T400/T500 line hasn't been around long enough for us to see if they've improved.

Yeah I have a lenovo T61 for work and it works ok but the batteries go out quick and the fan is noisy as hell, sounds like a POS...lol

I dunno man, I think you can weasel them out a better deal. Still give them a call and see if they can beat that. I was getting my e1705's for about that much (which are now outdated). But yea, my advice is run those channels and haggle their asses.

We are a PC and MAC shop. And to be honest I wouldnt say either is better. Just depends on which programs you can live without on each is what it comes down to. I notice my macbook sucks resources if it is left on too long. I tend to leave my machines on for days at a time. Its really all in preference, nothing more nothing less.

The base systems with i3 combos with integrated graphics should run you $400 after taxes and shipping.
