These are like the flour tortilla chips that are deep fried but as a taco shell. Like a chalupa?
They are not deep fried, you need a VERY thick corn tortilla which is very to find in California, lightly moisten the tortilla with water and fry in light layer of oil.
My mom makes these. Makes the tortillas from scratch tho not bought
I would love to buy some thick tortillas if you can hook it up, I am from Texas and you can get thick flour and corn torillas everywhere, I was wondered why they make so thin here.
