I got a laptop but inside my house i get no wireless and the others say there security enabled meaning i need a password..does anyone on here have a connection that i could use or know how to get 1 without getting a router? thanks if anyone knows..

to get access to the other networks you have to have their password, you have to get a modem then a wireless router so you can go anywhere in your house .

nope just enter the password, and as long as the signal strenght is good the internet will load fast.

like the farest i took my laptop from the router in my room was like 4-5 blocks after that the signal sucked and the internet loaded hella slow,

just remember, if you know their password and gain access... if they are remotely tech savvy, they can see your computer on their network... and also if they are advanced enough of a user, they can take a peek in your computer.

Yeah, it's fairly easy to peek at someone's system using some basic commands if the laptop/pc is not secure eg. "\\[ip address]\c$"
Personally, I wouldn't jump on someone's personal wireless connection unless you know the person and or do not have anything of "value" on your system.
