Before anyone gets all hot and heavy into this topic, I have to point one thing out so you are not misled...

315mm Nitto DR or Sumitomo has similar treadwidth to a 285mm Goodyear Eagle. Don't be fooled.

These are both 315s (Sumi left, Goodyear right)

Cheers! [patriot]

I have 315's on mine I had to beat the fender wells and remove the exhaust in order to get them to fit. Also have to roll the fenders. I'll try and get some pics if you want.

yea that would be great if you can put up or pm some pics. Is there a way you can modify the exhaust so you dont have to run turn downs? I want to put some 315's on mine lol

nice goodyear eagle gsd3's!!!!

i have the tires on the right but in size 285 or 295 on the rear. they GRIP!! be careful in the rain with any wide tire! the wider your tire no matter what tread you have the easier it is to hydroplane.

I'd imagine you would need to tub the rear for a true 315.
I was thinking with a late model rear end and 96' and newer spindles you gain enough width that with late model offset rims you can run a true 305 for sure and 275-295 fronts. I'm pretty sure I have seen a thread about that for a track setup

My buddy has a similar setup and he fit a 295 back there perfect. Anything bigger though is cutting it close. I mean literally cutting the tire close. Also with coilovers you lose some clearance on the inner tire. Then with a rear disc conversion it pushes out the wheel. A good setup would be a fox 8.8, fox length 5 lug axles, north-racecar brackets and a 05+ offset. Get you a 315 size foreign tire, which is equivalent to a 295 american tire probably

Why run a Foreign 315 Sumi or Nitto when the contact patch & width will be just as wide as a 275 BFG or goodyear?

I have 275/40/17 BFG KDW's on my 17X10's, & they fit & look perfect on a fox IMO...

simple...its for some ppl that like to just claim they have 315s tucked in the wheel wells and didnt have to roll fenders or beat on the inside.

I wat to run a real 315 for different reasons. A little wider so i can hook better, fatter slick, and it also looks sexy on fox imo. I have 275/40/17 it looks a little this to me on a 10 inch wheel

What brand tire are you using right now?

You said you want a "REAL" 315 tire...
You said you are running a 17 inch wheel...

The smaller the wheel and bigger/wider the tire the more it will buldge and look like shit(this is what you want?).

Another thing is the contact patch, the tire will not be used to its full potential aswell. being your gonna spend bread on a quality tire(waist of tire & especially on a REAL drag slick)

I would suggest stepping up to a 18 inch wheel & run a lil taller tire for max. traction and looks. If you wanna stay on a 17 inch wheel get a taller tire but i dont know if youd like the way the sidwall will look. Just try not to over exagerate with a huge tire on a small rim (being that us fox guys are limited to basically a 10 inch wheel, unless you mini-tub). Personally, dont go bigger than a REAL 295 on a fox...

A 295 would look good on it as well. I think 18's are a little to big for my taste. the tires im running are falkens 275 40's. I want to put the new nto5r's on the in a size 315, dont know if they make a small size? i got to check
