Lol Then don't street race! They did cut & edit it to ramp up the drama. But for the most part if you are out with the big boy street racers, it pretty much goes down just like this. When you got a lot of alphas that are super competitive. You are going to get drama. No one whats to look like a chump to your friends let alone the world.

I liked it. Better than most shit or HOT ROD TV where they make everything look cheap and easy and then get lack luster results or over the top results....depends on how much a sponsor pays them.
Also those cars have been around and are known and are true cars....

The shows funny, a little fake a little real but its a street race show in an area that is full of hardcore racers.

You live in Cali, so that is a lie. You need 100% of your smog equipment to be street legal in this state. Now if you are tagged up in the other 49 states, you are golden.
Chutes are for race cars! And just cause you trailer your car some where, doesn't make you a race car. It makes you smart enough no to drive 4+ hours just to have a stupid problem and spend the next 12 getting the car back home.
Now as for the show. It's a scripted reality show. So the races are staged. The story is based on what happened last year on the streets. If you watch the video you can see them making the cars get lose by sawing on the steering wheel. You can see they film a few different angles and run the race a few times. Then splice them together for the final product.

Its basically if the top 10 grudge kings put on a bunch of videos of them racing on the streets. Talked a bunch of shit on yellow bullet, got some national attention and then approached by a production company to do a TV show. The TV show has to put on a production to be as real as possible, the guys on the show just have to be themselves and be entertaining. Which it sounds like they did a pretty good job cause there were a couple of weeks where both them and Fast and Loud ended up being #1 and #2 this season. So I'm sure the last couple of weeks being in so cal means they are probably negotiating and planning season 2 here very shortly.

I just don't get it. If a car is unreliable or inefficient to the point you really can't or won't drive it to you're race, and you're going to put it on a trailer anyways... Why not just take it to the track?
When I think of a street car, I think of something you can mash around all Sunday and smoke the shit out of whatever else you may come across. (Not that I am capable of smoking more than a Honda)
