I currently work for BART and you never know if you'll get hired. I applied one day and got the call to do a test, passed the test, got to the interview and got picked out of 200+ people (they hired 9). I never thought I would get into BART, but I did and I'm so grateful that I was chosen and have many oppurtunities ahead of me. Anyhow, apply and good luck. It may seem like a long shot, but I thought the same and I got in with no inside hookup.
