key->key chip reader ring around ignition switch->instrument cluster->cars computer

all items must be functional and coded together for car to start.

I swapped the engine/tranny, ignition switch, cluster, ecu over from a mach 1 to a 2003 GT. The GT has the factory alarm with the red light above the headlight switch. After I hook up the battery the red light flashes fast and the car starts honking. Wondering if moving over the PATS module will solve this if I can find out where it's at.

Note: I have both cars.

there is no "module"

it sounds like the car has an aftermarket alarm system you need to deal with.

I don't think its aftermarket as the key fobs would be different. I believe it's a factory alarm. There's a little black button underneath the steering column as well. I just want to know how to shut it off so it doesn't alarm when I get in the car

Does anyone know how to disable it looks like a factory alarm? This the wiring mess with a bunch of splices. The car won't turn over after having the battery out for awhile. Fuel pump doesn't turn on with the key.
