Hey D.R.E,

$50 dollar refund? Good grief... BBK is located in So-cal. They could easily have a shipping label emailed to you, shipped back to the manufacturer and have a set drop shipped to you immediately in the time its taken.

keep us updated!

Thanks,

- Michael

Latemodel sent me a 80$ turn signal assembly that didnt work right so instead of making me send it back i ordered the oem ford turn signal from them and they subtracted the price of the faulty one. I was happy with that

Doesn't sound like their usual MO, I ordered a chin spoiler from them that showed up with a small tear in the bottom. I called and they asked for pics, they sent me a new one the same day and let me keep the old one. I would call back.

I would just keep em. You're not gonna see that scratch when it's installed.

Absolutely! they are going to get scratched up regardless, but I too understand. It's the principal..but if your in a hurry to install them, I wouldn't waste time haggling.

Yeah after seeing the second pic I have to agree with you. That's damaged more then it looked in the other pic.

Honestly,

It look's like someone tried installing it, and banged it up a little. I feel like if a that had been hit by a grinder, the finish would be completely gone.

Perhaps a customer of LMRs returned it after a few scratches, claiming the same thing you are, and they just figured they'd just resell it. Who knows?

I have bought quite a few parts from 5.0 Resto/LMR for both mine and my son's Fox projects. Prices are good, shipping from Texas is reasonably fast, and with one exception, parts have been of decent quality. The one exception was taken care of immediately with no questions asked. I was very impressed with their customer service and have recommended them on many occasions.

On my project I'vebought ffrom LMR and AM. I worked out a deal with AM that I order large quantities to get a bigger discount, since they could consolidate shipping so to pass the savings to me. So I order a number of big items, namely the LX bumper cover and header panel. Stored at the corner of the formal living room. Nobody messed with it. Then came time to get the car ready for paint so went to open the header panel box only to find the ship cracked in 2 places. Literally the header panel was in 3 big pieces. Told them just refund me and I'll buy 1 from another vendor (LMR) since the white one is just too flimsy.

So finally got the one from LMR and it was the same flimsy header panel, but at leastthey were smart enough to rredox it into a more sturdy box. So then I proceeded to open the box for the bumper cover and found that it was cracked right across 1 of the bolt holes at the narrow section of the side marker light. They told me that they cannot do anything about it since it is beyond the 30 day policy. I made sure that they know we how much I've bought from them and that I was still in the middle of my project, that their stance on their policy will effect where I do business from here on out. They stood buy thier policy, so now I shop everywhere else first before checking AM.
Now I did get some damaged goods from LMR but it was damaged from the manufacturer. The box lacked enough padding coming from the manufacturer. They replaced it after sending them pics of the damage and the box.

Those marks look like it was from the flange from the other header touching it during shipping. I look at it like this, "Did the vendor try to protect the finish by wrapping it with newspaper or with bubble wrap or car board?" And I would realize that the headers are big and an odd shape. So to expect a box to keep them from moving around is really wishful thinking. I think this is the problem with FREE shipping is that they have to box things so that it's economical. But if you were to pay for the kind of packaging that would keep the parts secured and protected, then it would probably be Iin a bigger box and weigh a little more with formed fill padding.

Just like when I ordered some SVO tail light lenses, it looked like the manufacturer wrapped the lenses a bit too early because the paper stuck to the black paint on the lenses. After using a wet sponge I was able to remove the stuck paper, but the finish was not as smooth in some spots because of the paper. I know I could probably repaint and fix it. To me these vendors are providing parts we want at the lowest price with very little margin.
