How much did you pick up your coyote? How much down and what are your payments? I'm thinking about getting one and throwing down about 2500-5k as a down payment. [ 2014-04-29, 08:51 PM: Message edited by: Pure Stang ]

That's actually less than I thought. I was thinking about 450-500. Base model or brembo package?

Dont forget to add taxes ,gap and all the other fees , that will be what eats up your down payment so add that plus a lil extra and that will be your actual down payment

This will be the first time I plan on buying a new car, so I'm not too sure how this goes. Have a solid job and my credit is not excellent but not horrible, I guess you can say good.

^ I think that sounds like a good way to go ^
OP I bought mine for less (brand new) than anyone here with $4000 down ($2000 out of pocket and $2000 rebate). I don't have great credit - 5.9% for 72 months and my payment is $472.
Just PM me, I'll get you done.

Get into a Credit union there rates and loans are killer, you can buy private or from dealer if your in the 700s youll get under 0-2.99% and id never finance for 72 months 60 max , personally thats just me. Dont want to pay 5k in interest. Unless it works out for u that way , judgement call [ 2014-04-29, 10:48 PM: Message edited by: 2T0NE ]

If this is your first new car purchase don't let the sales person start talking to you about monthly payments, talk in terms of the total cost of the car. Once you have a number agreed to then you figure out the down payments and if you can afford it.

exactly....i always negotiate price first and stop them the very second they start talking about monthly payments. dont get fooled by salesmen asking how much you're looking to spend monthly and what the down is...next thing you know you'll be signing a lease.
here is a payment calculator. http://www.cars.com/go/advice/financing/calc/loanCalc.jsp?mode=full

That's not true, I haven't once taken a CAFords member from what they wanted to originally do. I'm not gonna pressure someone when I have to come on here and ask for repeated referrals, there are quite a few people on the forum I have suggested to wait before buying a car.
And we CUDL with credit unions, but as a first time car buyer he is most likely going to receive 6.9%+ (that's IF he has established more than 2-3 paid rotating accounts of at least $1-3000) where if he wants to go through Ford and give up $1000 in rebate he can most likely walk out with 3.9% as a first time buyer.
Any of the people on this forum that have money, know money, and are good with money will suggest to take the route with the lowest interest rate. If you can't afford the payment on that situation then don't buy it, but why pay more interest and toss more money just to get something now??
OP I'm here to help, not to sell. You can ask for help from any one you'd like, just keep in mind when you want help you usually go to a professional or someone who does things for a living...not a hobby or people who like to interject their opinions when they don't know what they're talking about. (if you need an example ask all the people that took their motors to Dan instead of a full shop to save money....hahaha sorry couldn't resist.)

No sir, the only one we've gotten (and have right now) is an auto. I have been on the look out. Actually the only manual we've gotten in is the CASpecial I posted in my vendors thread.

5.9% for 72mo, holy shit!
Just bought my wife a comparably priced new car as a new GT ($31k) and we have a 1.79% for 60 months with roughly the same payment.

The dealer I plan on going to is a family friend so I doubt he will try to get over on me, but I do want to see my options.

Yeah I know, I was a ~575 score at the time and coming out of a straw purchase where the interest rate was 10.99%. Just wanted to take what I could get!

be careful on that if your family member is just the salesman cuz the sales manager on duty ultimately makes the decision on what deal is offered. the salesman is just a middle man.

I think he is the sales manager not 100% sure. Either way I'm going to check around. [ 2014-04-30, 11:23 AM: Message edited by: Pure Stang ]
