Topic: Scrap value of 85 foxbody shell?

I have a 85 hatch shell im goin to need to sell.
What do you think a scrap yard would give you for it?
Its an 85 hatch sunroof car no rear suspension, interior or wiring if anyone is interested?

Too bad it's not a CHP. You could still sell it for 2 grand as a shell...... Rumor has it, SSP's apparently left the factory with gold bars hidden in the frame.

Well if nobody wants it than i gotta scrap it. And $200 is better than no $$$.
So ill try to sell it for scrap value. If not.. To the junkyard it goes.

scrap yard will only pay $35 - $75 at max on average
a shell really doesnt weigh that much

Rumor has it turbo50 cars are all built from gold. Dont worry dan has plenty of money to do it.

Dirty Metal, which is what a shell is considered, is at $140.00-$160.00 per ton and the price fluctuates weekly. Most legitimate yards require cars to be registered as junk through the dmv in order to accept it. You could spend the time to cut it up but you'd have more time and money into blades or whatever you use to cut it, then its worth. Post it for $Free.99 -$100.00

I got $40 for a wrecked foxbody shell at a metal recycling yard. I gave them the pinkslip with it.
pickapart gave me $80 for a mark8 shell, it was basically stripped but did still have some glass and interior.

Pick n pull gave me 150 for my scrap roller stripped to the bone with no front clip..
